Change of SANYO’s HIT® Solar Modules to “Panasonic HIT®”
Munich, December 12, 2011 - SANYO Component Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. (SANYO), today announced that as of April 1, 2012, the branding of its HIT® solar modules, highly appraised in Europe for their high conversion efficiency and reliability, will change from “SANYO” to “Panasonic”.
SANYO HIT Modules
The Photovoltaic Modules with the World’s Highest Degree of Effectiveness.
Since several years Schoenau AG has been one of SANYO’s chosen European authorized representatives.
In 2001 our company constructed a large-scale photovoltaic site (40 kWp) using SANYO’s crystalline HIT modules. This first hand experience convinced us even more of the HIT modules outstanding quality: SANYO’s modules weigh less than modules of other manufactures. With an output of up to 19 % SANYO’s HIT cells possess the highest degree of effectiveness of all existing PV cells. Moreover, their performance remains extraordinarily high even under hot temperatures.
Maximum attention is given to the modules’ components: A special production technique makes it possible to use temperatures of around 200 Degrees Celsius instead of the 900 Degrees that are common otherwise – thereby protecting the crystalline cells and saving resources.
The HIT® Solar cells (thin mono crystalline silicon wafer surrounded by ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers) are highly appreciated by the market not only by the characteristics of high efficiency and outstanding temperature characteristics but also because of their very high reliability.
